Hi everybody! It’s Make It Happen!

First of all, I guess I need to thank you all so much for making me the “lamb of the month.” I appreciate the fact that I was chosen. My name is Mario, I’m 18, and I’m from Italy.

I’ve been a fan of Mariah since 2002, when I casually turned on MTV and saw the Through the Rain video, I instantly fell in love with the powerful voice of this woman and that song gave me chills. I decided that I needed to know more about her, so I went to the record store and found The Greatest Hits CD and bought it. The more I listened to her voice, the more I was charmed by this woman.

After doing some research through the internet, I found out about her personal life and struggles, and I felt like somehow I could relate to her and her songs and knowing her achievements made me realize I was knowing a superstar that was nobody and thanks to her determination made it happen for herself (that’s why my username is “Make It Happen”).

Now I have been trying to regain the lost time and been trying to buy all her CDs, but there’s still so much unknown for me and that’s pretty annoying. My favorite album is definitely Daydream, because of the vocals, the big ballads and all. That album just makes me feel better when I listen to it.

I have tons of favorite songs, such as Vision of Love, Hero, Make It happen, Without You, Crybaby, Melt Away, We belong Together, Breakdown, and Dreamlover. I could go on mentioning her whole catalogue, but I guess my absolute favorite must be Forever. I don’t know why, but there’s something about that song that captures every time. My favorite videos are Honey, Heartbreaker and Touch My Body… I love the funny side of Mariah and I think that’s the reason why I love her more than any other artist: she’s grounded and that’s a great quality from a celebrity like her.

Another thing I love is the live performances, because sometimes she sounds even better than in the recorded version and I love her hand movements! lol
