NICK AND MARIAH PLAN ANOTHER WEDDING

March 19, 2009

Just in time for their one-year wedding anniversary, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are planning to tie the knot again! In an exclusive interview with In Touch, Nick revealed that he and his wife have a big party in the works. "We have spoken about it, and it's coming up - that's all I can say," the 28-year-old told In Touch during a party sponsored by Grey Goose vodka at Underground club in Chicago on March 5. "We are going to do what we said we were going to do from the very beginning."

After their intimate surprise wedding in the Bahamas last April, Mariah promised Ellen DeGeneres that she and Nick would throw another huge wedding for the family members and friends who weren't there the first time. "Instead of trying to be like, 'You're invited, but shhh, don't tell anybody', we're just going to have another one next year," she explained.

MARIAH CAREY MOVES TO L.A...TO FOCUS ON ACTING?

March 19, 2009

Sources say Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon are leaving Manhattan and moving to Los Angeles so Mariah can focus on her acting career. Mariah received great reviews from her recent performance in the independent film "Tennessee."

As previously reported, the couple was spotted looking at homes in North Hollywood and in the San Fernando Valley in January of this year (09). Although their search was put on hold for a few months, it seems Mariah and Nick are set to make the move soon.

An insider tells WENN, "They still don't have a house yet, but they do have an interior designer helping them make their choice and they've ruled out buying a place in the Valley. I don't believe Mariah is pregnant yet but she and Nick are talking about having children and they want their kids to go to school in Los Angeles."

The couple was spotted visiting a fertility clinic in Southern California in February (09) and recently spent over $200,000 on furniture at Kreiss in Beverly Hills. “She and Nick Cannon are looking for houses in Santa Monica. They want to move to Los Angeles permanently. She wants to act more and she has to be on the West Coast to do that. And well, then, he’s got his . . . career,” says a Page Six source.

Having wed last April, both Cannon and Carey have spoken about their family plans, with Nick hoping for a big family. He recently said, "Maybe we'll have as many (kids) as the Octo-mom."

NICK CANNON DENIES THAT WEDDING RING LEFT HIM BROKE

March 18, 2009

Nick Cannon took to his blog Tuesday to fire back at bloggers who have suggested that he's broke and is being sued by the jeweler that he bought wife Mariah Carey's wedding ring from. A rep for Cannon verified to MTV News on Wednesday (March 18) that Cannon's comments were written by him.

"I guess yesterday was 'Hate Nick Cannon Day'! Hahaha!" he wrote. "The Blogosphere had my name ringing all over the Google alerts. That is why I am so thankful to have my own site and blog so I can give y'all the real. If it wasn't the madness about my e-mails to people, or more pregnancy rumors, it was this craziness on the oh so credible, BOSSIP about me being broke and being sued by my jeweler! Ridiculous! I just got like 3 new major multi-million dollar deals in the last 2 months. And I ain't even finish yet... But now I'm broke, okay!"

Multiple blogs posted information earlier this week that Cannon's financial affairs were suffering. The items suggested he's being sued for half a million dollars for Carey's unpaid wedding band. Also, according to "sources" the gossip blogs are attributing the information to, Cannon has settled the lawsuit by agreeing to pay installments on the ring. Cannon dismissed all the rumors.

"Where do these people get this stuff? First off, I wish my wife's ring did only cost $500,000, that would have been a deal!," he wrote. "Do your research and you will see how much I really paid for it. I don't like to disclose or brag about those things because it's not really anyone's business but it was quite public what I paid. Mostly because when my wife and I first got married people were lying and saying the ring was used or that I re-gifted it! LMFAO. So after we cleared that up, almost a year later they come with some more ring drama. Well since my anniversary is coming up I think I might just have to by a whole new joint for my beautiful wife, just to stunt! And as for the payment plan thing, I wish that was true or possible!! Sh--, it's a recession, I would take a lay-away plan in a minute! Hahhaahaa!!"

Cannon ended his blog post on a serious note, by declaring his love for Carey and his reason for treating her to such fancy jewelry. "But one thing that is true, I would spend every last dime that I have ever made on my wife, she deserves to be showered with extraordinary gifts and as long as I live I will spend all my money on her and never touch a dime of hers," Cannon wrote.

Cannon and Carey celebrate their first wedding anniversary next month. The pair were married April 30 last year after a whirlwind courtship.

CAREY AND CANNON PLAN BELATED WEDDING PARTY

March 18, 2009

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are planning a second wedding party to mark the first anniversary of their big day. The couple shocked the world last April when they exchanged vows in a top secret ceremony at Carey's Bahamas home in Eleuthera, and now they're planning a bigger bash to toast their first year as man and wife.

After the wedding, Carey told pal Ellen DeGeneres she would be making it up to friends and family, who were kept out of the nuptials, by throwing a wedding party, and now her husband confirms that a big bash is being planned. He tells In Touch magazine, "We have spoken about it, and it's coming up - that's all I can say. We are going to do what we said we were going to do from the very beginning."

The party could be a housewarming bash of sorts - the couple have reportedly made an offer on a palatial home in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles.

CAREY & CANNON MAKE AN OFFER ON SAPERSTEIN MANSION

March 18, 2009

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are all set to celebrate their first wedding anniversary as the owners of one of Los Angeles' most prestigious homes, according to reports.

The pop pair has put in an offer to buy the Saperstein Estate in Holmby Hills, after spending the past three months house hunting in California. The palatial pad has reportedly been on the market for months at a whopping $125 million (£83.3 million). It is not known what Carey and Cannon are paying for the place.

The French Chateau-style mansion was bought by David and Suzanne Saperstein in the early 1990s. The former society couple spent five years renovating the home, which they dubbed Fleur de Lys.

Reports suggest the mansion has become a mini-palace with Italian marble walls, French limestone floors, gold-embossed leather wall coverings and gold-leaf crowned mouldings. The lavish home features a ballroom with ceiling frescoes, a library with a first-edition book collection, two kitchens and a screening room with seating for 50. There's also a three-bedroom manager’s house, staff quarters for 10, a nine-car garage and even a private jogging track.

A source close to Carey and Cannon, who wed at the pop superstar's Bahamas home in Eleuthera last April (08), says, "They like the home because there's so little that needs doing to it."

RUMOR: NICK CANNON GOING BROKE?

March 17, 2009

We were all a little surprised when the news of Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey getting married came out in the news. The two were still a very fresh item and the mismatching of their ages also caused a few chuckles. After awhile though things calmed down and we all got used to the idea of the two. However some new news is coming out about Nick’s current state of financial affairs and it is not good news.

Word is that Nick is in serious trouble when it comes to his paper and is catching multiple lawsuits because of it. Nick has not had a movie role for some time and his show “Wilin Out” has not been renewed for another season on MTV due to it’s low ratings performance. All of this has supposedly got Nick in some serious trouble. He was recently hit with a lawsuit from the jeweler who sold him the $500,000 dollar engagement ring he bought Mariah after he reportedly tried to duck paying the jeweler the remaining $400,000 he still owes on the ring. After the issue was brought to the courts though he agreed to pay off the remaining balance through installments every month. He also was sued recently by a former business partner who accused Nick of backing out of several investment deals the two had going after he couldn’t cover his end. That lawsuit is still in legal limbo.

Damn Homie. I must say though even with all of this fuckery who can ever feel bad for this guy? Even if he is flat broke, he’s married to Mariah Carey! That means he will never be doing too bad.

MARIAH AND NICK CALL HBF MEMBERS

March 15, 2009

Last night, a very lucky group of fans from Mariah's fan club "Honey B. Fly" got the surprise of their lives; Mariah and Nick called their "lamb phone line" - a weekly phone meeting the group is holding where they talk to each other about Mariah.

Jasmine, Katrina, Hazel, Michelle, Blanca, Alexis, Jennifer and Larrin each took their turns to introduce themselves and ask Mariah some questions. Mariah granted a fan's request to talk in Bianca's voice, asked the fans what they thought about her last Name That Tune (NTT) on Twitter. The fans replied in unison that the NTT was too easy, to which she said, "Most people would never know that. It's a background part, it's like a cartoon part."

In the chat, Mariah also revealed some information about the song she's currently working on. "I'm in the middle of working on this one. It's gonna be a favorite. It's kind of like an inspiration of what it has, like a beat to it but it's a ballad and has uplifting type of lyrics. I'm trying to just finish it tomorrow 'cause I have to get my ... make sure when I wake up I can have the proper vocals."

Lexi, a member of MariahHero, was one of the lucky ones! She is sharing this information with us:

Oh my you lambs won’t believe... you may need to sit down for this one lol long story but good...Ok so here it goes, Last night me and 5 other lambs from HBF had a lamb phone chat last night about 11 my time and we didn't think anything of it but I guess some how Nick found out on Twitter about the lamb phone chat we were having last night and he called in to the chat to talk with us but at first we didn't think it was him..we thought someone was playing a joke on us...well we asked him who is this and he said "It's Nick" and we said Nick who? He replied "Nick Cannon" and we started freaking out! He talked to us all for about 15 mins about what we lambs talk about on these types of lamb phone chats. Well he asked us if Mariah was up on twitter last night and we told him yes...so then he knew she was up and he was like well I'm going to get her on the phone line so let me call yall back.

While we were waiting for Nick to get back on the phone with Mariah and that took about 10 mins waiting. Well when he got back on the phone line he was like "Hey I want yall to say hi to my wife!" and then Mariah said "Heeyy Lambs" and we all started freaking out and she was like "Lambs Breath, breath" and then she started doing a high note lol it was soo amazing. MC and NC are funny and too cute. But then we started talking to her about the new album and she talked about it a little bit with out giving too much information on it..she explained a little about what type of songs she's creating for the new album and she asked Nick and us what is our favorite songs from E=MC2 album. And then we each one at a time got to introduce our self’s to her and tell her that we love her and she explained how thankful and grateful she is for us and that she loves us so much and that she enjoys talking to all the lambs on Twitter.com and then Nick was like insisting Mariah to hang up because she needed to go to sleep lol.

But she was like "I'm on vocal rest right now but I chose to talk with you guys tonight because I love you all and you mean sooo much to me"

NICK AND MARIAH STILL GOING STRONG

March 15, 2009

With their whirlwind romance and surprise marriage, no one thought newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon would last. But a month shy of their April 30 one-year anniversary, they definitely "seem like the real deal" says an insider, who spotted them at NYC's Japonais restaurant recently.

The lovebirds are so happy, in fact, that they're in secret talks to take a second trip down the aisle before the year is done. OK! caught up with Nick, who revealed how marriage has changed him. "It made me a more responsible person," Nick, 28, tells OK!. "It made me someone who really monitors my steps in a way to where it's not just about me anymore, it's about a union."

As for his blushing 39-year-old bride, Nick adds, "I'm married to the most gorgeous, most beautiful, most incredible woman in the world!"

CANNON SAYS CAREY A HIT AT THE OFFICE

March 14, 2009

Actor Nick Cannon says his fellow Nickelodeon office workers go out of their way trying to catch a glimpse of his wife, singer Mariah Carey.

Cannon said since he began serving as a development consultant for Nickelodeon's TEENick TV network, several people at his office in New York's Viacom building have purposefully spent time lingering in his general vicinity, USA Today reported Thursday.

"I've got co-workers tip-toeing past my door pretending like they're using the copier, going in all of the pantries, but really they're just trying to see if Mariah is going to walk in. She comes by every once in a while, so they might catch her," said Cannon, 28.

Cannon, who married Carey last April, said he is not a huge fan of the corporate world, but is intent on helping TEENick appeal to young people.

"I'm not really into the whole corporate feel," Cannon, whose Nickelodeon deal was officially announced Thursday, told USA Today. "I need it to be comfortable. It needs to be a creative meeting space. This network is supposed to represent 'for young people by young people.'"

NICK CANNON'S "MUCH LOVE TO THE LAMBS"

March 13, 2009

Nick Cannon has added another blog post in his official website; this time, he thanks Mariah Carey's fans for all their support. He also talks about his thoughts on those who dissaprove his persona:

Lambs, You guys are the best! You guys stick up for Mariah and always have. If you noticed in my post to the "Haters" I never mentioned the world Lambs because I know you guys are the real true definition of fans. Lambs are actually more than that, you guys are literally Mariah's family. You don't know how much she loves you all and how happy you have always made her. You all have rolled with her through everything.

So when we got married I was surprised that I was marrying into a Worldwide Family. And just like in any marriage, some family members embrace you, some don't, and some take time to invite you in. It's like one big version of "MEET THE PARENTS" LOL. So I appreciate all the Lambs who have embraced me and the ones who haven't yet, I am totally okay with that. I understand. Some In-Laws never get along!! But I want my site to be an open forum for you to voice all your opinions. A great man once said, "I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will die for the right for you to say it." I encourage and welcome criticism, especially when done with respect.

Again the only issue I had was the few people who were making vulgar and slanderous comments about my wife. I will never allow anyone to disrespect Mariah in my presence. And I believe I have personally reached out to everyone who was making those type of comments and nipped it in the bud. Again to the Lambs, you guys are STONE WINNERS! Thank you for loving and supporting Mariah past, present, and future! P.S. Wait until you guys hear the new album! STONE GROOVE SMASH HIT WONDERS!!! (and no I would never be worthy enough to be featured on a Mariah record, don't worry) LOL!

R&B SINGER THE DREAM CREATES A NICK CANNON DISS TRACK

March 13, 2009

Could there be something brewing between R&B singer The Dream and songstress Mariah Carey. Media Take Out is hearing whispers that the answer may be yes. We know, we know, Mariah is currently married to Nick Cannon. And The Dream is dating actress Christina Milian. But according to one of Media Take Out's snitches, the two became extremely close during their recent recording - and Dream has developed a crush.

And it gets better. Media Take Out also discovered that the lyrics to one of The Dream's new tracks seem to be taking shots at Mariah's husband Nick Cannon. Here's a sample of the new song Mr. Yeah on The Dream's new album: "Ask Mariah - I touched that body like [...]. I get it you wanted a little boy friend and you went and got one. But you know like I know that he can't love you like I do. So whenever you wanna come back and stand beside me, I can make you what you deserve to be - a woman." Nick, you better handle that.

Nick Cannon's response: "THIS IS HLARIOUS! I love when people just make stuff out of the blue. It is so creative, hahahaha! For the record, Dream is my dude! Love his album and I respect his talent and his hustle. Mr. Yeah, is one of my favorite songs on his album and the song is about a girl who left and needs to come back, so mediatakeout’s point doesn’t even make sense. Plus Me, Mariah, and Dream listen to his album in the studio all the time and I still haven’t heard the line about Mariah they referenced. I know he says her name in the song “Put it Down” which is another banger! If you don’t have the album yet, GO GET IT! But like I always say, once again, THOSE WITH THE MOST OPINIONS OFTEN HAVE THE FEWEST FACTS. So you know I had to go on the site and hit the people up. Check it out, pretty funny. Gossip is wild but it is quite entertaining! We send love to the haters because they need it the most…"

THE-DREAM AND MARIAH CAREY'S "MY LOVE" PRESS COMMENTS

March 13, 2009

The-Dream & Mariah Carey’s “My Love” is getting picked out a choice track by press reviewers of The Dream’s “Love vs. Money” album:

411 Mania: The best track of Love Vs Money is “My Love”, featuring Mariah Carey. Their stellar vocals mesh very well over the slow beat that shows listeners that MC still has it.

DJ Booth: If Love vs. Money gives birth to another hit, and I have to believe it will, it’s got to be My Love, a track that has Dream doing his best Jermaine Dupri production impression so his guest artist/diva Mariah Carey feels at home.

The Washington Post: Mariah Carey contributes the textbook-but-still-pretty-great finger-snappy ballad “My Love.”

The couple married in April 2008 and Cannon and Carey have been fighting baby rumors ever since, and now Cannon reveals they have chosen to wait before having a baby. When asked if kids were in their near future, Cannon told TMZ.com, "Soon. Like, couple (of) years soon!"

THE BALLADS

March 12, 2009

She may have the voice of an angel, 18 American number one hits (that's one more than Elvis, and second only to The Beatles, who have 20), five Grammys, and record sales of over 200 million records, but after 19 years in the business, Mariah Carey still doesn't command the kind of respect normally associated with acts who can boast of the mind-boggling statistics she's racked up.

This best-of-the-ballads collection won't win over anyone who's never connected with her brand of over-the-top vocal pop, but hearing the familiar hits back-to-back might just help to cement the artistic esteem Mariah's battled to win.

"The Ballads" is a flawed affair that will divide fans though. Traditionally, her fans are divided into two major groups: those who "used to like her when she sang slow stuff, before she went all hip-hop", and the hardcore loyal fans who love both sides of her musical split personality. This collection tries to please both sets of fans and, predictably, suffers for it.

The inclusion of R&B tracks like "How Much" (with Usher), "The Roof" and "Thank God I Found You (Remix with Nas & Joe)" is jarring among the more middle-of-the-road hits like "Hero", "Without You" and "My All." The duet version (with Westlife) of her Phil Collins cover, "Against All Odds", is possibly the worst track she's ever put her name to, and makes you wonder why number one hits like "Love Takes Time" and "I Don’t Wanna Cry" were left off in favour of that mess of a "song."

Then there’s the not-so-small problem of this album only covering MC's "Sony Years" - 1990 to 2001 - before she jumped ship to Universal Music and produced one of her most-loved songs, 2005's monster hit, "We Belong Together." But, despite the absence of "We Belong Together" and other recent hits, there are still many treasures to be heard here.

"Vision of Love" (her debut single and first number one hit) is a vocal tour-de-force that still sounds remarkably fresh nearly two decades later. Other hits like "Always Be My Baby", "Dreamlover", "One Sweet Day" and "I'll Be There" will have fans singing along and reliving the '90s, while non-fans hearing them again will either run away screaming or grudgingly concede, "Ms Carey done good."

NICK CANNON STANDS UP FOR HIS WIFE

March 11, 2009

In a recent blog post, Nick Cannon complains about the rude comments so-called fans make about Mariah. Cannon calls Mariah, "most loving, caring, giving and kind hearted person I have ever met." Read some of the lines he wrote in which he talks about critisism:

I am glad everyone is so passionate and opinionated. I embrace the idea of dialogue. I always say, If you want people to talk to you, then have a different opinion. I am humbled and grateful to all the supporters and fans for sticking up for me!LOL You guys are the best . . . I hit haters back directly on their email, and if it’s really a problem, and they really feeling froggish… I encourage setting up special “meet n greets” just to let them know I’m a real GROWN ASS MAN!!!

But what people don’t seem to understand is I am a comic, there is no way to offend me. That’s what WildnOut was all about! My co-workers and best friends (Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, Don Rickles) are the biggest sh@! talkers in the world! I’ve heard it all and laugh it off! I’m just not built with a soft shell. Only thing that I believe is totally unfair, unwarranted, and uncalled for is when people insult my wife. She is the most loving, caring, giving and kind hearted person I have ever met. She doesn’t deserve any of the disrespectful comments that are made about her. And the craziest thing is a lot of these comments come from people who claim to be her biggest fans!!

Please, feel free to say what ever you want about me, I encourage it (I can steal it and put it in my act lol). But I really have a problem with the lies and defamation of my wife’s character. Haters have great imaginations! But as we know the people with the most opinions have the fewest facts! But again thanks for all the motivation! I leave you all now by trusting in this, ” I can’t control what people say about me, but what I can control is them being right about it”. God Bless!

THE-DREAM: NOT CONTENT JUST TO WRITE THE HITS

March 11, 2009

The songwriter and R&B singer Terius Nash has worn $2,000 worth of rolled-up bills on a chain around his neck, but he would like to cultivate a much more expensive habit.

"Mariah Carey took me up in her private jet last week," said Mr. Nash, who records under the name The-Dream. "It was like: Ooooooh! I've got to get me one of these. Because now that I've got a taste, I'm never going back. I'm going to fly this thing everywhere - to L.A., to Atlanta, to New York. I'm going to fly this thing down the street and park it outside your apartment."

With "Love vs. Money" he's ready to do whatever it takes to make himself a boldface name. He has been showing up at parties with the R&B singer Christina Milian, sparking rumors that they are dating. He also upped the star power on the new album with cameos by Kanye West, Lil Jon and Ms. Carey, who also appears in the video for "My Love."

Written during Mr. Nash's divorce from Nivea in 2008, "Love vs. Money" offers an emotional, confessional take on the ways wealth can make personal relationships feel empty. The interlocked, three-song mini-epic that anchors the album - "Love vs. Money," "Love vs. Money Part 2" and "Fancy" - finds Mr. Nash admitting that all the Bentleys and trips to Paris he bought to show his affection ended up just making him feel used.

If for some reason the new album isn't a hit, his day job isn't too shabby. He's currently working with Ms. Carey on her next album, and he has just finished an album for the new R&B girl group Electrik Red, which will be released on his Radio Killa imprint this month. And Mr. Nash said he and Mr. West have talked about doing a collaborative album in the spirit of R. Kelly and Jay-Z's "Best of Both Worlds."

9.00pm - Mariah Carey: The Billion Dollar Babe: Mariah Carey: The Billion Dollar Babe lifts the lid on the crazy world of the biggest selling female pop star of all time. At its heart is the bizarre affair of Mariah’s very public breakdown when she started stripping on live TV and posting weird messages to fans on her website. Not long after she checked in to a private clinic, exhausted by trying to live up to the demands of the richest deal in recording history and was abruptly dumped by Virgin/EMI. It looked like the end of the Mariah Carey fairy tale, yet this year, in an amazing turn around, Mariah is back on the magazine covers, and back in Britain.

This unauthorized profile tells the rags-to-riches story of the ambitious teenager from Long Island, New York, with an operatic seven-octave voice, who met the most powerful man in the music recording industry by chance, and then married him. It is the tale of the girl who became the workaholic pop diva with the Midas touch: she was bigger than Madonna, bigger than Michael Jackson, and had 15 US number one hits - more than anyone other than Elvis Presley and the Beatles. The programme features the contributions of an array of musical collaborators - including Jay Z and Walter Afanasieff - key record industry executives, Mariah’s friends and biographers, and music critics Paul Morley and Caroline Sullivan.

In China, a Chinese Mariah Carey fan, Leon is organising a huge anniversary party, celebration Mariah Carey’s birthday in The Connection, Cheng Du, China!

The venue will be doing promotion beforehand - with posters and leaflets - both inside and outside the venue. It’ll be a Mariah-themed night. The venue’s DJ will be playing everything Mariah - album versions and remixes. They’ll be playing Mariah videos, live performances and concert DVDs.

There will be live performances by singers and dancers from the bar itself in front of a Mariah backdrop. Mariah fans who are attending will also have a chance to sing Mariah songs - after all it’s a fan gathering. And of course an anniversary cake will be ready.

MARIAH CAREY AND THE-DREAM'S "MY LOVE"

March 09, 2009

Finally, we get to see the fruits of Mariah Carey and her hubby's labor. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Cannon have been hard at work on the music video for Mariah's new song, "My Love", the second single on crooner-songwriter The-Dream's new album, Love vs. Money.

I'm a fan of The-Dream's playful, albeit repetitive, vocal stylings, and the song itself is cute and catchy mid-tempo R&B. Mimi's frizzed-out, low side-ponytail is really the only thing that stands out about the clip, which was directed by Cannon, but come on - was anyone really expecting Spike Jonze-esque levels of creativity? Let's just be happy that there's enough eye candy in the video - from the crazy city view and Mariah's fabulously moisturized gams to humbler details like salchichas in a frying pan - to keep it moving.

Though I still miss the days when one of Mimi's signature power notes could put other divas to shame, I can see myself humming along to this tune on the radio as the weather warms up. What do you think?

NICK DISHES ON HAVING A BABY WITH MARIAH

March 08, 2009

Nick Cannon lent his deejaying skills Thursday night at Chicago hot spot Underground, where club owner Billy Dec celebrated the launch of his new blog. Before spinning tracks from Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco, Nick dished on fellow musicians Chris Brown and Michael Jackson and, of course, wife Mariah Carey.

The America's Got Talent host stayed mum regarding any big plans for his one year anniversary to Mariah Carey, (the two married April 30), but did take the time to clear up the longstanding rumors that he and Mariah were expecting a baby. "I mean we're gonna let nature take its course, we're just enjoying each other right now and whatever happens happens."

Adding that Mariah is not currently pregnant Nick said, "It's one of those things where you don't really plan for those types of things. It's family, it's love. Of course that's what we want and when it happens it's gonna happen. Am I having sex? And that's usually how it happens right?"

Cannon ended the night with a crowd-pleasing tune none other than Mariah Carey's "Sweet Fantasy."

CAREY & CANNON LOOKING FOR A FAMILY HOME IN LOS ANGELES

March 06, 2009

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have given up their house hunt in California's San Fernando Valley - because they're desperate to start a family over the hill in Los Angeles.

The thoughtful couple has been looking at schools as well as mansions, after deciding that Carey's native New York was no place to raise a child. But, two weeks after Carey splashed out over $200,000 (GBP142,800) on furniture at Beverly Hills' trendy Kreiss store, she and her husband are still looking for a home to put it all in.

An insider tells WENN, "They still don't have a house yet, but they do have an interior designer helping them make their choice and they've ruled out buying a place in the Valley. "I don't believe Mariah is pregnant yet but she and Nick are talking about having children and they want their kids to go to school in Los Angeles."

Carey certainly doesn't look pregnant, but onlookers spotted her declining alcohol during a recent business lunch with Cannon and advisors, while her husband sipped beer. One diner at the restaurant the pop star chose for the luncheon says, "She drank ice tea. Maybe she just wanted to keep a clear head. She certainly didn't look pregnant."

Meanwhile, a new report in U.S. magazine In Touch Weekly suggests Carey, 39, has been paying visits to a Beverly Hills fertility expert.

She and Cannon were spotted holding hands and laughing as they left the Southern California Reproductive Center on 19 February (09). Both Carey and Cannon, who wed last April (08), have spoken about their family plans, with actor/rapper Cannon hoping for a big family. He recently said, "Maybe we'll have as many (kids) as the Octo-mom." A source tells the publication, "Mariah has always wanted a baby."

In Episode 2 of the new MTV show, "Dogg After Dark" which aired February 24, Snoop Dogg and Nick Cannon busted into the ladies room. At the beginning of the show, Nick talked about married life and Snoop mentioned how "Vision of Love" helped him while in jail. You can watch the full episode at MTV.

Snoop Dogg: "How's married life treating you? 'Cause I've been married like 9-10 years so how is it treating you?"

BILLBOARD REVIEW: MY LOVE

March 03, 2009

Producer: Los Da Maestro
Label: Radio Killa/Def Jam

Since the mega-success of Rihanna's "Umbrella" in 2007, the-Dream has retained the writing/production Midas touch on the Billboard Hot 100, scoring some of the biggest singles of the past few years (Beyonce's "Single Ladies [Put a Ring on It]," Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body"). While he has logged four solo top 10 R&B hits, major crossover success has eluded him thus far.

However, the second single "My Love," from his sophomore album, "Love vs. Money" (March 10), may rewrite the history books. Atop a finger-snappin' midtempo groove, the-Dream plays Romeo in a relationship others would like to see fail: "Endless love I always provide/They hatin' on us and you should know why." The extra boost comes from Carey, who sings as if she relates wholeheartedly to the lyric, giving a gutsy, husky performance at the climax. It's a sumptuous love anthem for couples this spring. --Chris Williams

MARIAH CAREY'S REAL BABY BARKS

March 03, 2009

Mariah Carey is not pregnant, thank you. She is working on her new CD with producer-writer The Dream, however, with whom she's already had a couple of number 1 singles. The album will follow last year's hit, E=MC2, on which The Dream - aka Terius Nash - produced her hit, "Touch My Body" and "My Love." For those of you don't completely get it (myself included) these producers have nicknames like The Dream. They also write a lot of very melodic pop music. Mariah's in good hands.

There's a lot more going on in Carey's life these days although she is not - not- pregnant. We laughed about all those "baby bump" pictures that appear in tabloids week after week. Carey seems pretty sanguine about enjoying the conceiving process with new husband, Nick Cannon.

Cannon, by the way, tells me he's not giving up acting to host "America's Got Talent." "The opportunity came up and I thought it would be fun," he said. Nick is a gifted actor - check him out in the movie "Bobby" from 2006 - and is young enough to take some detours along the way.

Nick isn't the only member of the Carey-Cannon family to get into reality TV. Mariah says, perhaps only half-joking, that her Jack Russell terrier, named Jack, may also get his own show. Jack is often referred to as Mariah's "real baby." He even stars in his own home videos on YouTube. "It will all about our lives seen through his eyes," the pop star said. Stranger things have happened.

A bigger question right now, aside from all this baby and dog talk, is who is managing Carey. She and Benny Medina parted ways amicably last year. Medina turned up an Oscar party with Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, and may be getting back into the management game with them. (Medina is credited for Lopez's major successes.)

MARIAH CAREY'S NEW ALBUM IS NOT CALLED ‘MC3'

March 03, 2009

Mariah Carey has posted a short statement on her Twitter, denying rumor saying that her new album will be called “MC3?. Claiming she “can’t really define the new album yet,” she notes, “Its not called MC3 or whatever.”

Apparently busy with whole process of getting the album done, Mariah reveals she has just finished 2 songs and will be back to studio to finish the others. She explains, “[I] Just finished 2 songs. … Back in the studio. Loving this song!!!!!! don’t wanna be too ra ra dramatic about this but I’m just happy bout it and hope you will be 2.”

The rumor of Mariah Carey’s new album being titled “MC3? emerged back in January. At that time, singer/songwriter The-Dream said an interview with Los Angeles radio station KIIS-FM, “I’ve been working on this Mariah Carey thing for the last four days. Her working title for this next album, which is what I call it, is ‘MC3'.”

In addition to making music for her new record, Mariah is also rumored to be entering recording room with Reuben Cannon, who is her husband Nick Cannon’s brother. Mariah and Reuben are said to make a collaboration for his not-yet-titled debut album.

"MY LOVE" #1 ON CHICAGO B96'S "9 MOST WANTED"

February 28, 2009

Nick Cannon, hosting tonight's "9 Most Wanted" countdown on Chicago's B96 FM, introduced the #1 most requested song, The-Dream's new single, "My Love" featuring Mariah Carey. During the broadcast, Nick called his wife Mariah and asked her what she was doing. She said she was working and about to go into the studio.

Nick is in Chicago for the week for the America's Got Talent auditions at McCormick Place on Sunday, March 1 and Monday, March 2 and a DJing gig at the Underground Night Club on Thursday, March 5.Nick: May I speak to the most beautiful, gorgeous person on the face of this planet?
Mariah: [laughs] What are you doing?
Nick: I'm like working and stuff like that. What you doing?
Mariah: I'm about to work on some songs. I'm trying to catch up on a little nap so my voice could be nice and clear.
Nick: Oh, I'm sorry. Did I wake you up?
Mariah: No, you didn't wake me up. What else is going on? Are you on the radio right now?
Nick: We are on the radio right now, my love.
Mariah: [laughs] You are silly. I can't even believe you. I can't even know what to say.
Nick: You can't even know what to say? Well, you have to know what to say because we're on the air. And they don't want to hear us giggling back and forth with each other because we enjoy that but we gotta act like you know we're professional. [laughs] It's a hot concept of everything that you're putting together and everything, so you excited about it?
Mariah: I'm so excited about it. That's why instead of like stay in bed all night which was my plan since you left me to be on the radio, [laughs] I decided that I'll go downstairs and sing in the studio. These songs are like, I'm really, really, really looking forward to let the people hear.
Nick: Wow, okay that's amazing. So now that we got past all that stuff, let's get to the real question - what you got on?
Mariah: [laughs] You really want to know what I have on?
Nick: [laughs] Absolutely! It's only between me and you and the rest of the million of people in Chicago.
Mariah: You are too much. I have on a white... what's the proper terminology for this...
Nick: A tank top t-shirt.
Mariah: A tank top and some little things that you bought me on the bottom.
Nick: Hey you ain't supposed to wear those when I'm not there.
Mariah: [laughs] They're not like lingerie.
Nick: Oh just like the regular Walmart drawers?
Mariah: No, you know, they're just regular, the white and pink ones. You know them.
Nick: Oh okay, yeah. We just shared all our business out. I feel like...
Mariah: You asked me what I was wearing. What do you want me to say? "I'm wearing a long ball gown, it's fabulous."
Nick: [laughs] See that's the thing. I think if we just give all of our information to the public then they can't make stuff up.
Mariah: I think they do a pretty good job no matter what we try to do. But I'm happy for you doing this radio stuff too. We need to have a weekly phone call or whatever, we'll figure it out.
Nick: You know one of the really cool things about being on the radio and stuff is moments like this where I can talk to my wife and then also throw to the number one song that we have on the top 9 joint.
Mariah: On the countdown?
Nick: And it happens to feature my wife.
Mariah: Yay! Would that be "My Love"? Dream featuring me?
Nick: That would be "My Love" Dream featuring M.C.
Mariah: M.C.C.
Nick: Yeah, absolutely. You want to help me throw it to the record?
Mariah: Start, I'll chime in.
Nick: [laughs] You'll just chime in? Here we go. Alright, Chicago...
Mariah: Drumroll, drumroll.
Nick: All that good stuff. This is your man, Nick Cannon. I have the fine opportunity to throw it to the number one song on the B96 "9 Most Wanted" is "My Love," Dream featuring my love, M.C.C., Miss Mariah Carey.
Mariah: [laughs] And I gotta dedicate it to my love, you!
Nick: Thank you. When she says you, she means you Chicago.
Mariah: I mean you Chicago, of course, but my true love Mr. Nicholas Cannon right there.
Nick: She used the full government, that's kind of sexy, right? Well, thank you. We're gonna let you go back and get some rest because we know you're banging out them hit tracks right now so...
Mariah: I'm trying, I'm trying.
Nick: You want that fabulous instrument that you have to be well-rested so you can hit them high notes and all that.
Mariah: Thank you, darling. And tell everyone at the station I send my love.
